DROP THE SPOTLIGHT: Sarahbeth Taite Debuts Tender New Video for 'What If We Broke Up' on CelebSecrets

NASHVILLE, Tenn., (Sept. 5, 2024) – Country singer-songwriter Sarahbeth Taite takes a heartfelt plunge into the redemptive power of second chances with her new music video for “What If We Broke Up,” premiering today exclusively on CelebSecrets.

Co-written with 3x Grammy award-winning producer Nathan Chapman (famed for his work with Taylor Swift) and ACM Song of the Year Nominee, Parker Welling, “What If We Broke Up” taps into an emotion many couples can relate to – that terrifying moment of almost letting go, only to find that the love you were ready to walk away from was the one you needed most.

The music video transports viewers into the heart of that emotional storm. In it, Sarahbeth sits in the back of the same fateful F-150 that her husband, Colby, almost drove off in, leaving their love behind for good. As the haunting melody plays, Sarahbeth’s storytelling pulls you in as she contemplates the life they almost lost. Each verse is a reflection of that “what if” question many have wrestled with: What if we had let go? What would have happened to all the dreams, the memories, and the future we could have built together?

But in real life, that near miss only solidified their bond. After less than an hour apart, Sarahbeth and Colby realized they couldn’t live without each other. Now happily married, with their second child on the way, the couple’s story serves as a testament to love’s resilience and its ability to triumph over doubt and uncertainty (read more on People Magazine).

The Way We Started” takes listeners on an intimate, chronological journey through the defining moments of Sarahbeth’s life, leading up to the place she now cherishes most: her home with Colby and their children. The EP kicks off with “Butterfly Boots,” a nostalgic ode to a young girl’s dreams, capturing the innocent hopes of Sarahbeth’s own youth while also reflecting the dreams she holds for her daughter, Isla, and her soon-to-arrive baby girl. Throughout the project, Sarahbeth reveals the beauty in life’s unexpected turns — how early heartaches like “First Rodeo” and the near-miss of “What If We Broke Up” ultimately paved the way to a deep, lasting love. Tracks like “Pretty Good Living” and “Diamond and a Baby” capture the magic in life’s little moments, reminding us of the joy in simply living each day to its fullest.

Sarahbeth’s dedication to her craft is nothing short of inspiring, having returned to the music industry just three months after welcoming her first child. Though uncertain at first about how the industry would respond to her new role as a mother, she found that embracing family life only deepened her connection with fans. Her heartfelt storytelling has garnered support from outlets People MagazineCowgirl MagazineRFD-TViHeart Country and more. Now, with her second child on the way, Sarahbeth continues to shine as she shares her one-of-a-kind EP with the world.
